Tuakana-Teina is a traditional Māori cultural philosophy and practice; also literally referring to the relationship between an older and younger sibling or close family members like cousins.
Within teaching and learning contexts, this can take a variety of forms such as peer to peer, younger to older, older to younger, or able/expert to less able/expert.
